FlightScore: Your Ultimate Sponsor Leaderboard

FlightScore is our official points leaderboard that shows how sponsor teams are performing across the season. Each event, only a team’s top five finishers earn points based on their finishing positions. These points are then added together to create the team’s event score, and all event scores combine to form the season standings.

Simply put, FlightScore lets you track which sponsor teams are leading the pack and see how they’ve fared in every tournament. Check back often to follow the action and celebrate your favorite teams as they rise through the rankings.

FlightScore Points Explanation

Our scoring system rewards players based on their finishing position in each event using a two-tier approach:

  • For Positions 1–10: We assign fixed points using the following breakdown:

    • 1st place: 100 points

    • 2nd place: 95 points

    • 3rd place: 90 points

    • 4th place: 85 points

    • 5th place: 80 points

    • 6th place: 75 points

    • 7th place: 70 points

    • 8th place: 65 points

    • 9th place: 60 points

    • 10th place: 50 points

  • For Positions 11–59: Points are awarded on a linear scale calculated as: Points = 60 – (finishing position)

    • For example, 11th place earns 60 – 11 = 49 points, 12th place earns 60 – 12 = 48 points, and so on, down to 59th place which earns 60 – 59 = 1 point.

  • For Positions 60 and Beyond (up to 100): No points are awarded. Any finishing position from 60th and beyond receive 0 points.

Every Finishing Position Counts—Even When It Doesn’t Earn Points Directly

One key feature of our points model is that it adds purpose to every competitor, even those who don’t earn points for their own team by making the top five. Here’s how:

Indirect Impact on Competitors:

When a player finishes in a point-earning position, they not only boost their own team’s score but also limit the opportunities for rival teams. For example, if your team’s depth means only your best five results count, a competitor from another team taking a higher finishing spot can push that team’s eligible players further down the leaderboard. This results in fewer points for them, even if your player isn’t directly earning points for your team.

Team Strategy and Depth:

Every player’s performance matters. Even if a player isn’t in the top five for their own team, their placement can still affect the overall standings by ensuring other teams have to settle for lower point values. This creates an extra layer of competition where every throw counts—not just for personal achievement but also for the strategic advantage it provides to your team.

In summary, our system rewards excellence at the top while also recognizing the strategic impact of every competitor. Whether you’re earning points directly or influencing the competition by taking key positions, every player's performance helps shape the season-long battle for the leaderboard.
